Our government hosted the U.S Secretary of State Mr. Mike Pompeo in Senegal last week. This was a tremendous honor for us and an excellent opportunity to strengthen our business relationships with the U.S. AMCHAM had the privilege to meet with him to discuss business opportunities. It was a great meeting as we witnessed the signing of 5 (MoU) between U.S. businesses and the Senegalese governing bodies. U.S. investments in Senegal have increased exponentially these past years and look to increase even more in the future.

Digital transformation is at the heart of our era. It is changing and will continue to influence our habits, our daily life, our way of living, of working. The train is on, you have to jump the first wagon. Big data, artificial intelligence, e-learning, and various other subjects will be discussed on March 19 at the King Fahd Palace as part of the USA Week organized by AmCham Senegal and the Embassy of the United States in Senegal.

What training for what job? How to train for the professions of tomorrow? What place should be given to continuing education? The question of the adequacy of training for employment will be one of the themes addressed during the USA Week organized by AmCham Senegal and the Economic and Social Office of the Embassy of the United States from 17 to 19 March 2020 at the King Fahd Palace.

The Ambassador of the United States in Dakar, Tulinabo Mushingi, and the President of the American Chamber of Commerce Mahi Kane met this April 24, 2020 with the Minister of Economy, Planning and Cooperation, Amadou Hott, for the presentation support, in cash and in kind for a total amount of FCFA 396,043,805, offered by the American Chamber of Commerce in Senegal (AmCham) and other American companies operating in the country. Minister Hott, on behalf of the Government of Senegal, thanked AmCham and the various corporate donors.
